Coffee Chats
Hi WiC members!
WiC is starting WiC Coffee Chats during Spring Quarter! This is a fantastic
opportunity to meet other WiC members, make new friends, share your experiences,
and take advice from others over coffee, boba or whatever you'd like. Our Coffee
Chats will be every even week during Spring Quarter (Week 2, 4, 6, 8) and we’ll
group you with other members based on your responses!
If you are interested in participating for Week 2's pairings, please fill out
the short questionnaire below by 03/30 (March 30th). This will help us match
you with other members who have similar interests

Crack the Interview Workshop
Hi WiC members!
Do you feel ready for the upcoming application season? Preparing for job applications doesn’t
have to be stressful! Take some pressure off of your future self by practicing interviews and
preparing for application season in a supportive environment at our upcoming Interview and
Application Prep Workshop! We will practice interviewing skills together and have a presentation
from the Allen School Peer Advisers on how to make the most of your interview experience. Take
away practical interview advice, meet friends to practice interviews with, and come away prepared
with a plan for application season!

Women in Research Panel
Hello WiC Members!
Join WiC and LEAP for our Women in Research Panel! This event is a great opportunity to learn about the
inspiring experiences and journeys of women in research and will showcase the incredible research that
the women in the Allen School are involved in. We will have representation from a variety of research
areas in the Allen School.
Panelists will answer questions about their research background, why they chose to pursue research,
and what advice they have for students interested in pursuing research. There will also be time for
networking and Q&A with our panelists. Snacks will be provided. You won’t want to miss this!

Racial Equity in Tech
Hi WiC members!
Join us for our dinner event: Racial Equity in Tech - with speakers from the Allen School.
WiC is super excited to be partnering with MiT to host a dinner event with amazing speakers
from the Allen School, including Jan Cuny (Director of DEIA for Strategy & Operations),
Lauren Bricker (working with STARS and Startup programs, Code.org.), Kevin Lin (Assistant
Teaching Professor), and (tentatively) Leilani Battle (Assistant Professor)! Join to hear
their inspiring experiences, their journeys, or work they’ve done to promote racial equity
in tech, in addition to sharing your own stories (if you’d like to), all over a delicious
catered DINNER. Get a chance to engage with the speakers 1-1, network with both the
speakers and other students in the Allen School! You’ll learn more about opportunities to
get involved with the racial equity efforts at the Allen School such as applying to be an
Allen School Ambassador and more. You won’t want to miss this!
